In 1994, three young entrepreneurs from Roxbury and Dorchester, Massachusetts, set out to utilize local culinary talent to offer fresh, home-style ethnic foods in a take-out lunch operation.  Shortly after City Fresh Foods opened its doors, it was asked to provide its delicious variety of ethnic meals to the growing, yet underserved, ethnic homebound senior population.  After Five years of focusing solely on meals on wheels to elders and special event catering we expanded our services to include schools and child care centers.  Today we offer a wide range of menus for a diversity of palates.

Over the last 15 years, City Fresh Foods has moved from its original 1,000 square foot storefront in Roxbury to our current state of the art 11,000 square foot facility.  At each step in our growth,  we have kept the goal of hiring and growing local talent at the core.  City Fresh Foods has evolved from a small local venture into a nationally recognized food service company renowned for its quality of food and commitment to community.

Today, City Fresh Foods produces approximately 6,000 hot lunch and dinner from scratch for homebound elders, students and health-related clients.  In addition we distribute over 3,000 breakfast and snack items daily.  With over fifteen years of experience, City Fresh Foods has developed a cost-effective method of preparing, packaging and delivering traditional home-style meals throughout the Boston area and beyond.
