There is nothing like a fresh tomato picked from your garden. It’s fresher, tastes better and packs a higher density of nutrition per bite than those grown farther away via conventional methods. At City Fresh Foods we implement the power and effectiveness of the garden tomato into our procurement systems and menu development. At every step in the process, we seize the opportunity to make institutional food service meals healthier and tastier. We serve grass fed beef and local organic squash during season; whole wheat breads, zero trans fats products, whole muscle chicken meat. Our sauces are made from scratch and meats seasoned from uniquely crafted rubs and marinades.

Economic Development Story
City Fresh is presently majority owned and operated by community residents. We practice open book management and offer profit sharing to all employees who have been with our company a certain amount of time. The City Fresh Foods leadership is working towards 100% community ownership. Our mission is to create jobs in the economicially distressed neighborhoods of Boston, and to create an opportunities for equity and local control.
