City Fresh Foods has serviced schools for over 10 years. We work closely with the school's leadership and adminstration. Together we establish the appropriate technology and systems to deliver on-time, fresh and healthy meals to all students participating in the food lunch program. We partner with schools to assess space and equipment needs and establish appropriate ordering, delivery and recieving procedures.
After a decade of feedback, City Fresh Foods has come to understand the distinct food tastes and appearance preferences of school age children. We combine this knowledge with our understanding of food to develop school menus that are healthy and tasty increasing student lunch and breakfast participation. City Fresh Foods only serves whole wheat breads, zero trans fats products, whole muscle chicken, sauces made from scratch and custom marinaded meats.
Schools can choose from a variety of packaging options including indivdualy packed or family style lunches.
Individually Packaged Meals offer schools, day care centers, and after-school programs an efficient way to distribute and feed students. Meals are packed in a three-compartment tray that features a leak-proof DuPont Mylar film lid that can be reheated in a microwave or oven.
Family Style Meals are delivered to programs that wish to serve the food themselves. Family style meals are packaged in hotel pans and sealed in plastic wrap and tin foil. Family meals are held in warming boxes at a minimum of 200 degrees prior to departure from our commissary. All meals are transported to their destination in Cambro boxes or insulated bags.
Cold Items — including most breakfast and snack items, milks, desserts, and bread — are packed straight from our refrigeration units to coolers and lined with PCM thermal tech –30 degree gel packs that hold items below 40 degrees for up to 8 hours to ensure appropriate temperature upon delivery.
City Fresh Foods has a dedicated customer service line and pro-actively works with each school in creating the most cost effective and operationally efficienct food program.
